synopsis 2Andrew Montgomery has everything money can afford him, except time. His father is ready to give up the helm of Montgomery Industry-something Andrew has been groomed for since birth. Only, his father won’t allow him to take control until he satisfies one demand. Andrew must marry and stay married for five years, or the company will be sold off for charity, one share at a time.

Resort hotel maid, Hannah Miller never dreamed that the boy she spent every summer with until she was seventeen would grow up to become ruthless billionaire Andrew Montgomery. Or that he would call in the silly IOU she’d given him for saving her from a dangerous riptide when she was thirteen years old.

But nothing can prepare Hannah for what Drew demands as repayment. The sexy man not only intends to marry her, but to share their marriage bed as well. In every sense of the word.

reviewHannah Miller has had a crush on Drew Montgomery since she was 13 years old. In fact, when Drew saved her from drowning, then fifteen year old Drew made her promise two things. Never swim alone and never change who she is. She swore on this and even had it in writing, in the form of an IOU note.

Ten years later, Drew’s father is demanding that he get married within forty-eight hours and or he’s selling the stocks and giving it to charity. So with his hands tied, Drew decides to marry Hannah, and he’s calling on the IOU note to make it happen.

I love this book. I really do. I love the characters and how we get to see their innocent childhood attraction turn into something passionate when they grow up. Hannah is a simple person who doesn’t need a lot of things. She is loyal and truthful and just has this crazy crush on Drew Montgomery. And while her childhood dream of marrying him has come true, it frustrates her that she seems more of a booty call than an actual wife.

Drew, on the other hand, although he is a ruthless businessman, cares so much for the people around him, enough to rush into marriage to save his employees from going out of work. And all he wants is to find a woman who sees him as himself and not for his money. I love how the conflict comes more from Drew, who despite his obvious and undeniable attraction to Hannah, believes that she will leave him after five years. He loves her so much, that he is always in fear of hurting her and not meeting her expectations because he thinks the right path for him is to stay married to his job. But Hannah doesn’t think so, and is determined to show Drew what true love and a true marriage really means.

Seducing The Billionaire’s Wife is a great read, with a short but great plot. This is my first book by Marquita Valentine and will definitely continue reading her writing (plus, I love the cover). The romance is sweet and steamy at the same time. It has all of the elements I love, a childhood crush, a promise, and the eventual fulfillment. Plus, men in suits. It just proves that when destiny conspires to bring two people together, it will all work out, sometimes with the help of an IOU note.

Seducing the Billionaire’s Wife is Book one of the Seducing the Billionaire series.

  1. Oh it’s been a while since I’ve read hers. I enjoyed it. Probably would have skipped this over the cover though. Glad it was good!

    • This was my first from her 🙂 I’m planning to read her other works too. As for the cover, well, I have to admit, I like pink so I think that’s what got me to read it 😉 Plus, there’s a billionaire in a suit *drool*

  2. Hi Lornski! I’d like to borrow your book! This sounds interesting :))
