Quote tastic

Quote-Tastic is a weekly Monday meme hosted by Herding Cats and Burning Soup. Open your books (or turn on your devices) and pick your book’s quotable quote.

“So this is what I know,” I said, “There will be some things that you need to do for yourself, so you don’t hate yourself, and resent this person you love and are sacrificing things for. And there will be some things you need to do because you’re the only person who can do it, and you have to suck it up. You understand?”

–  Said by Daria Kramer to Nicholas Cevasco
Chapter 17, The Harder we Fall

Quote-Tastic for me! Its not a crime to do do things for yourself, without sacrificing the things you have to do for others. And in times of problems, I always say, s**t happens, deal with it.  More often than not, we have no other choice but to simply take care of problems the best way we can, instead of moping and crying about it.

I got an ARC of this book. Review to come, but let me just say that I love the characters of Mina V. Esguerra’s upcoming book. Daria Kramer is independent and determined to achieve without the help of her father’s name. And Nicholas Cevasco, aside from being horribly cute, loving and selfless, is just, in my languge, karne (meat). I will never look at rugby the same way again.

Learn more about Mina V. Esguerra and her works at her website, and facebook page. Find out what others have posted for their Quote-Tastic Monday at Herding Cats and Burning Soup then hustle on over to Camille at The Girl Meets Books and Duch at Komorebi Days to know their pick.
