Quote-Tastic #01: Georgina Guthrie’s Better Deeds than Words

Quote tastic

Quote-Tastic is a weekly Monday meme hosted by Herding Cats and Burning Soup. Open your books (or turn on your devices) and pick your book’s quotable quote!

For my first Quote-Tastic post: From Georgina Guthrie’s Better Deeds than Words

Better Deeds“I want..I need..” Nope. I couldn’t do it.
“Yes?” he encouraged, licking his lips eagerly. “Tell Me.”
An epic blush crept up my neck and into my face. I needed an out. So I plundered. I plagiarized. I cheated.
“Let Lips do what hands do,” I said, pushing at his shoulders again.
He chuckled softly. “I can’t believe you can quote Shakespeare at a time like this. Cleverness like that ought to be rewarded.”

– Better Deeds Than Words, Chapter 27

I just love Aubrey Price. She’s smart, strong and can quote the Bard in the snap of a finger (and that’s in the middle of shmexy time!). She doesn’t take crap from anyone and would rather get angry than mope in a room.

Georgina Guthrie has become one of my must read authors. This quote is from Better Deeds than Words, the Second of three installments of her The Words Series. It’s preceded by The Weight of Words and followed by the Truest of Words, to come out later this year.

  2. Lovely blog. I haven’t heard of the author, but sound worth checking out. I can’t quote Shakespeare, but am envious of those who can.
