Book: The Chocolate Thief
Author: Laura Florand
Character: Cade Corey
Swoon Quality: Determined, selfless, focused, billionaire heiress of a chocolate company a plus
Its not easy, to chose between who you thought you should be and who you really want to be. It gets confusing at a certain point then all your focus disappears and you do some crazy thing (like breaking in a chocolatier’s laboratoire) until your vision becomes clear with understanding.
It was something Cade Corey, of The Chocolate Thief, went through. Heiress to a billion dollar chocolate company? Check. Steal from one of the best chocolatier in Paris? Check! Get caught, fall in love with him? Check! And finally having the courage to admit what you really want to be? Check!!
I actually admire her. Well, not the breaking and entering part, but the courage and determination part. Even if it suddenly manifested in the form of breaking and entering. To just take what she wanted and to finally admit to herself what she really wanted become. It wasn’t easy for her, since she had already selflessly embraced the responsibility of taking on a billion dollar company. But she learned that she can let go, even if bit by bit. That the world didn’t have to crumble without her guidance and that she deserved something for herself, to be something she wanted to become.
